FAQs

What does Shouk mean?

Shouk is the Hebrew word for market, like the open-air fresh markets that inspire our food and energy.

What does plant-based mean?

It means not using any animal products or by-products in our food. Instead, we only use fresh vegetables, grains, legumes, and nuts and seeds.

If you only use plants, where does the protein come from?

Here’s a secret: plants are full of proteins! Cauliflower, mushroom, beans, and tahina, to name just a few of our ingredients, all contain lots of it. Our pitas and bowls combine veggies, legumes, and grains to crate a well-balanced meal. Did you know that cows and pigs also get their protein from plants? We just go straight to the source!
